5 Top Snacks at Universal Studios Florida

Snacks: an essential piece to a theme park visit. At least one theme park treat always stands above the rest. Lucky for us, Universal Studios Florida in Universal Orlando Resort has quite a few beloved treats. There are so many, in fact, that it can be hard to know where to start, but let’s try to name some of the best on offer!

Crepes

Crepes are a great option for a person or group of varying tastes. They can come in sweet and savory and complement many fillings. And though it may not be common park food, the crepes of Central Park Crepes should not be ignored on your next visit.

Central Park Crepe is an outdoor kiosk near Mel’s Diner. It serves three different kinds of crepes: a savory chopped tripleta, a vegan cookie butter, and a strawberry hazelnut crepe.

Lard Lads Doughnut

Fans of “The Simpsons” will immediately recognize the giant, pudgy mascot watching over Springfield’s Fast Food Boulevard. For those who have long dreamed of trying the iconic pink doughnut favored by Homer Simpsons make this stand a priority.

Along with the expected doughy-goodness, there’s also the Brain Freezin’ D’oh-Nut Sundaes. The gargantuan treat is chocolate or vanilla ice cream sandwiched in a donut with your choice of toppings!

Florean Fortescue’s Ice-Cream

Florean Fortescue’s Ice-Cream Parlour is your one-stop shop for frozen magical sweets. After all, if it’s favored by The Boy Who Lived it’s got to be good, right? The parlor has many unique flavors including orange marmalade, granny smith, mint, and Harry Potter’s choice strawberry and peanut butter. If you’re looking for recommendations, my personal favorite is the Earl Grey and lavender flavor.

Freeze Ray Pops Popsicles

Some days in Florida are so hot that taking a blast from a certain despicable villain’s freeze-ray would feel like a blessing. Unfortunately, we don’t always have access to Gru’s freeze ray, so the next best thing is popsicles! Freeze Ray Pops Popsicles in Illumination’s Minion Land is a cute little window filled with interesting popsicle flavors.

The quick service offers eight unique flavors, including cotton candy, lemon mint, strawberry, and cookies and cream. Along with the standard ice pops, three specialty pops are also based on “Despicable Me” characters. There is a Vector popsicle that is orange cream flavored, a Gru one with Nutella, and a Minion pop that, of course, is banana.

Jacket Potatoes

For those in the U.S., no jacket potatoes are not potatoes wrapped in actual jackets. It’s just another name for baked potatoes. To find these starchy snacks, head to the London Taxi Hut just across from the homes on Grimmauld Place on the London Waterfront.

This little hut offers more than the standard baked potato. There are jacket potatoes with beans and cheese, broccoli and cheese, and a shepherd’s pie version! For the lovers of a classic loaded baked potato, do not worry; they also have that on the menu!
