10 Best Treats at Walt Disney World

Walt Disney World is a magical place where pixie dust extends to the tasty treats throughout the parks, whether you’re a child or an adult. A sweet surprise awaits around every corner, from classic favorites to innovative creations.

Here are the top 10 best treats Disney World has to offer.

1. Dole Whip

No Walt Disney World visit is complete without a sample of this iconic frozen treat. The classic pineapple flavor is a refreshing escape from the Florida heat, but seasonal flavors also make their way into the parks and Disney Springs. If you want a truly refreshing treat, test drive a Dole Whip float with fresh pineapple juice or a swirl with soft-serve vanilla ice cream.

2. Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bar

A timeless tradition, the Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bar is a must-try for any Disney guest. This chocolate-covered (and when I write chocolate covered, it’s the perfect amount of dark chocolate) frozen vanilla ice cream treat is the perfect handheld snack while exploring the lands.

3. Churros: A Crispy Delight

A Disney staple, churros are crispy, sugary perfection. Whether enjoyed plain or with a dusting of cinnamon and sugar, these Spanish-inspired treats are a crowd-pleaser. Both the theme parks and Disney Springs offer the classic treat, but if you want to try them with chocolate dipping sauce, head to Pecos Bill’s in Frontierland at Magic Kingdom. You’ll be served bite-sized churros – perfect for sharing.

4. The Grey Stuff: Be Our Guest

A chocolate cupcake with gray frosting, topped with edible pearls and a chocolate plaque on a white plate.

Inspired by the enchanting tale of Beauty and the Beast, the Grey Stuff is a dream come true for dessert lovers. This mysterious treat used to be served as is at Be Our Guest Restaurant, and while the recipe is a Disney favorite, it’s a delicious combination of flavors, including vanilla pudding, cookies and cream-style cookies, and whipped cream. These days, head to the restaurant and order the Master’s Cupcake to sample it.

5. Caramel Apple: A Sweet and Tangy Combination

A classic fairground favorite, Disney’s caramel apples elevate this treat to new heights. With various coatings, toppings, and flavors, there’s a caramel apple to satisfy every craving. They can be found in every park, and the seasonal versions are just as tasty as the original.

6. Jack-Jack’s Num Num Cookie

From the beloved Pixar film Incredibles 2, Jack-Jack’s Num Num Cookie is a giant chewy, chocolatey delight. This oversized chocolate chip cookie is packed with flavor and served warm just outside of Toy Story Land in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

7. School Bread

Found in the Norway Pavilion at EPCOT at Kringla Bakeri Og Cafe, School Bread is a hearty pastry filled with cardamom custard. This soft, sweet treat is ideal for breakfast (I’ve eaten my share of them at rope drop!) or for a midday snack.

8. Mickey Pretzel

While not traditionally sweet, the Mickey Pretzel deserves a spot on this list for its iconic shape and deliciousness. Enjoy it plain or with cheese sauce for a savory snack. The giant snack can be found in every Disney World park and Disney Springs and can be eaten alone or shared.

9. Citrus Swirl

This frozen treat, found in Adventureland at Sunshine Tree Terrace, is a refreshing blend of orange and vanilla soft-serve ice cream. It’s perfect for hot, humid Central Florida days but I’ve been known to eat them during rain storms and in the winter.

10. Funnel Cake

Indulge in the classic fairground treat with Disney’s take on the funnel cake. Crispy, hot, and covered in powdered sugar, this dessert is a decadent end to a magical day. I personally love the ones at the American Adventure Pavilion at Epcot. While the traditional style with powdered sugar is never a bad idea, I enjoy the Cookies ‘n Cream version with vanilla ice cream, crumbled cookies, and chocolate syrup.
