Cedar Point’s Top 10 Must-Have Snacks

Cedar Point, Ohio, is renowned for its thrilling rides and exhilarating atmosphere. But beyond the adrenaline-pumping attractions, the park offers a diverse culinary landscape that caters to every taste bud. From classic fair food to gourmet delights, Cedar Point has something to satisfy you in between coaster rides. Here are the top 10 must-have snacks to indulge in during your visit.

1. Dippin’ Dots

  • Why you should try it: The iconic ice cream that’s cryogenically frozen in tiny beads, offers a unique texture and flavor experience. My daughter has been a fan since she was a toddler and makes a beeline for a cup when it’s hot. If you’re not sure which flavor to try, I love the Banana Split.
  • Where to find it: Multiple locations throughout the park, including the midway and various food stands. There are so many spots, I’ve listed them below:
  1. Cedar Creek Mine Ride
  2. Frontier Trail
  3. GateKeeper
  4. Iron Dragon
  5. Raptor
  6. Steel Vengeance

2. Chicken Tenders

  • Why you should try it: A classic fair food staple that’s always a crowd-pleaser. These are my go-to snack and meal orders as I’m never disappointed.
  • Where to find them: Various food stands and restaurants, particularly near the roller coasters. If you want a sit-down-style meal, go for Chickie & Pete’s.

3. Corn Dogs

  • Why you should try it: A deep-fried hot dog encased in cornmeal batter, and best when served fresh out of the fryer, they’re a quintessential theme park food experience. I personally wish the park would offer a vegan version.
  • Where to find them: Multiple food stands throughout the park. Happy Friars and Derby Dogs are a couple of good spots.

4. Giant Pretzels

  • Why you should try it: A massive, soft pretzel perfect for sharing (or devouring on your own).
  • Where to find them: Several food stands and bakeries within the park. If you love a good chain-style pretzel, Auntie Anne’s won’t disappoint. If not, test drive the ones at Pretzel Fillers.

5. Cinnamon Sugar Donuts

  • Where to find them: French Quarter Confections

6. Candy Apples

  • Why you should try it: A sweet and colorful treat that’s perfect for sharing.
  • Where to find them: The Sweet Spot

8. Cotton Candy

  • Why you should try it: A fluffy, sugary delight that’s a must-have for any fair visit. While I’ve grown out of my love for it, it’s a big hit for park visitors.
  • Where to find it: Boardwalk Cotton Candy

9. Pizza

  • Why you should try it: A satisfying meal option for those looking for something more substantial.
  • Where to find it: Pizza places around the park, but give Hugo’s Italian Kitchen a go. It’s where I always get my CP pizza.
