Everywhere to Find Dole Whip in Walt Disney World
The Dole Whip has been a part of The Most Magical Place on Earth since 1984. Originally, a guest to Walt Disney World could only get a magical combo of fruity soft serve and refreshing pineapple juice in the Magic Kingdom. Luckily for us, that is no longer the case, and the original Dole Whip and special variations can be found all over the resort!
Magic Kingdom
As I previously mentioned, when Dole Whip first got into the hands of Disney World Guests, it was only available in the Magic Kingdom in one stand in Adventureland. Thankfully, Dole Whip being exclusive to this small booth in one section of one park in all of Walt Disney World is no longer the case. Nevertheless, it’s always good to start at the beginning.
Aloha Isle
Aloha Isle won its way into the hearts of many tropical-loving guests by being the debut location for the famous pineapple swirl. It continues to be the place fans flock to for this chilly treat. This location focuses entirely on our favorite tropical soft-serve, serving three types: the original pineapple, vanilla, and coconut.
You can get your Dole Whip in a few different ways at this spot next to the Enchanted Tiki Room. The first is just with the soft-serve with a single flavor or a swirl of two kinds. The second is a float. The classic float is pineapple juice and pineapple, vanilla, or swirled soft-serve.
However, different locations can have special flavors. For example, the Tropical Serenade float was a special version added for Disney World’s 50th anniversary with pineapple-orange-guava juice, coconut soft-serve, and garnished with a pineapple upside-down cake pop. Speaking of pineapple upside-down cake, you’re able to get one at Aloha Isle topped with your choice of vanilla, pineapple, or swirled soft-serve.
Sunshine Tree Terrace
Sunshine Tree Terrace sits at the original location for Aloha Isle, just after the Adventureland archway. Instead of pineapple, this booth has orange and strawberry Dole Whip flavors and chocolate and vanilla soft-serve.
The floats are a little different here, too. There is no pineapple juice; instead, there are sodas like in a standard float that you can mix and match your favorite creamy delight with! There is also the I Lava You Float, a float with strawberry Fanta, passion fruit flavoring, orange Dole Whip, and popping candy!
Storybook Treats
In Fantasyland, next to The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh’s exit sits Storybook Treats. It’s one of many wonderful places to grab a frozen treat and take a break from the heat. The booth focuses more on general soft-serve and sundaes. However, they still have two options for Dole Whip to choose from.
First up is the Rapunzel Sundae. It is a shortcake with soft-serve wild berry and lemon Dole Whip topped with a berry compote and sugar flowers. The Aurora Cone is the second option. It is a strawberry Dole Whip swirled with blue soft-serve in a sugar cone and topped with white chocolate pearls.
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort has a lot of inspiration from Adventureland, including in its frozen treat offerings. It makes sense; after all, the resort is connected to the Magic Kingdom via the Monorail.
Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto
Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto has become popular for its fun drinks, rare black pearl souvenir cups, and immersive magical decor. Sam’s got you covered if you were ever looking for a more adult version of the pineapple soft-serve! Say hello to the Spikey Pineapple. This drink is Cruzan Mango Rum blended together with the iconic pineapple Dole Whip.
Barefoot Pool Bar
Ever wanted to have a Dole Whip by the pool, while also on the beach, while also being able to look at the Magic Kingdom? First off, that is a very specific wish, but second off you can at the Barefoot Pool Bar!
With plenty of food, drinks, and cocktails to choose from you should have no problem getting your fill. And adults, be sure to have your IDs with you because the Barefoot Pool Bar has three different cocktails with Dole Whip!
Oasis Bar & Grill
The Polynesian’s second pool, known as the Oasis Pool, also has its own poolside bar, the Oasis Bar & Grill. Like its counterpart at the Lava Pool, Oasis has a menu full of starters, entrees, and drinks. In fact, the Dole Whip drinks are exactly the same! So, if Barefoot Pool Bar is too crowded for your taste, try this kiosk.
Pineapple Lanai
If you’re jonesing for a pineapple Dole Whip but don’t want to make the trip to Adventureland, worry not! Pineapple Lanai may not have the exact same offerings as Aloha Isle, but they have the basics, and you don’t need a park ticket. This kiosk only has vanilla and pineapple Dole Whip that you can have separate or swirled. You can have your Dole Whip in three ways: with just the soft-serve, as a pineapple juice float, or coconut rum!
Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park
The theme parks aren’t the only places on Disney World property where you can get your fruity fix. Disney’s two water parks are great places to cool off from the Florida heat with a splash in the pool, a trip down a slide, or a chilly treat! First up to the podium is Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.
Snack Shack
Of course, you’re going to see ice cream at a water park food kiosk, and Typhoon Lagoon is no exception. The Snack Shack serves two kinds of fruit Dole Whip, pineapple and strawberry, as well as vanilla and matcha soft-serve.
Guests can have their favorite flavors on their own in a cup, together as a bathtub sundae, in a cone, or even in the form of two different cocktails!
Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park
Don’t let the name fool you; the snow at Blizzard Beach never fully melts! That means you and your Dole Whip won’t melt in the heat, either!
Warming Hut
The Warming Hut only has one flavor of Dole Whip: orange. However, you can still get it swirled with vanilla soft-serve if you wish. Whichever way you’d like, you can put it in either a cup or a waffle cone.
Epcot
If there’s one thing people love about Epcot, it’s the food options. From innovative ways to serve classic to tasty meals worldwide, Epcot is the park for foodies! With that in mind, it only makes sense that they have one of the best foods on the property somewhere in the park.
Refreshment Outpost
I won’t lie to you; there have been many times over the years when I get to the back part of World Showcase and feel like Olaf without his snow cloud. In those moments, one truly needs a frozen treat, and the Refreshment Outpost is in the perfect position to fulfill that need.
Located between the China and Germany Pavilions of Worldshowcase, this kiosk offers the cherry Dole Whip, slushies, soft-serve, and fountain drinks to help fight the weather.
Animal Kingdom
For many guests, Disney’s Animal Kingdom is considered the hottest of all the Disney World parks. The mixture of tropical landscaping and few indoor areas make it a trek on hot days. Because of this, there are plenty of refreshments to be had, the best of all being Dole Whip!
Tamu Tamu Refreshments
If you want your pineapple soft-serve fix, Tamu Refreshments in the Africa section is your place to go. They only serve the classic pineapple Dole Whip but certainly make up for it with two floats, one with pineapple juice, one with orange soda, and three cocktails featuring the sweet treat!
Disney Springs
Disney Springs is a great option for those looking for a bit of Disney magic but don’t want to buy a ticket and enter the parks. Filled with fun shops and tasty bites, it’s a great place to hang out, have a date night, or do some shopping!
Swirls on the Water
Located by the Rainforest Cafe, Swirls on the Water is THE Dole Whip kiosk of Disney Springs. They have your standard pineapple and vanilla soft-serves, but they also have floats with and without alcohol and limited-time offerings that include a Dole Whip sampler with three mini Dole Whips! Seriously, go here if you love Dole Whip.
Wine Bar George
Looking to try a fancier kind of Dole Whip? Then, might I tempt you to give the Wine Bar George a try? This restaurant has two cocktails with a special twist: a frozcato made with pineapple Dole Whip and an old fashion with orange.
Disney’s BoardWalk
Disney’s Boardwalk is for those looking for an escape to the famous boardwalks from the turn of the century on their Disney trip. Like Disney Springs, the BoardWalk is filled with shops, entertainment, and food. Also, like Disney Springs, you can get Dole Whip, which is really all that matters.
BoardWalk Joe’s Marvelous Margaritas
As the name implies, BoardWalk Joe’s Marvelous Margaritas specializes in frozen drinks, and Dole Whip is included in that specialty. The Captain’s Seaside Sensation is a Dole Whip and rum smoothie. But don’t worry if you aren’t in the mood for alcohol; you can get the smoothie without the rum, too!
