Cleveland’s Street Eats: The Best Food Trucks in Cleveland, Ohio

Cleveland, Ohio, is a foodie haven with a thriving food truck scene. While the city is known for its sports teams (sure, they might not be the best of the best, but locals still adore them!), it offers a big variety of delicious and affordable eats on four wheels. To help you plan your next foodie find, here are 10 of the best food trucks in Cleveland, Ohio.

Heads up: Please note that food truck locations can change frequently, so checking their social media pages or websites for their latest schedule is always a good idea.

If you’re a fan of Southern European cuisine, you’ll want to make a beeline for Robesto’s BIG Flavor Trailer. The Southern European-style menu is heavy on German cuisine (which I definitely don’t hate) and includes tasty items like schnitzel, brats, and even apple strudel if you have a sweet tooth.

Cocky’s Bagels

If you thought you’d have to head to New York City to get a great bagel, think again. Cocky’s Bagels in Cleveland is considered to be the best bagel sandwich in Ohio and serves breakfast all day. Sure, you can get menu items that include the classic bagel and cream cheese (definitely a favorite breakfast food of mine) and cocktails (at The Flats only!), but its creative spin on sandwiches is what hungry folks line up for.

Not sure what to order? Give the Wake and Bacon, Hot Italian, and Cocky’s Signature a go. If you’re not big on meat, the Grilled Cheesus is a good bet.

Manna

When you queue up for the Manna Food Truck, you’ll find the menu as varied as the cuisine it serves. Offering everything from Asian to Italian, it’s a “Best of Cleveland” award winner for its tasty dishes.

Sure, it serves the classics like chicken fingers and tater tots, but if you want something a little bit extra, test-drive its Lobster Roll, Meatball Gyro, or Crab Cake Burger.

MoBite Vegan Food Truck

Vegans and Vegetarians won’t have to sit on the tasty food sidelines when MoBite Vegan Food Truck is around. Considered gourmet eclectic with organic fusion, while each dish may taste like real meat, it has vegan protein to provide heartiness with taste.

Want to try the popular dishes? Check out vegan BBQ chicken on a roll, the vegan fish sandwich with soy protein, vegan nachos (made with seitan—yum!), and almond cheese.

Kitchen 212°

Brushing up on your chemistry lessons here, but water boils at 212 degrees; that’s the reason for Kitchen 212° Food Truck’s name. All it takes is that one extra degree to go from hot to boiling, aka, it takes your taste buds over the flavor edge.

You’ll find housemade salads and plenty of sandwiches on its menu – and even an homage to Pittsburgh via the Polish Boy: it’s topped with fries just like a good Primanti Bros. sandwich.

Proper Pig Smokehouse

What started as a $1000 utility food truck purchased from Craigslist has turned into the uber-popular Proper Pig Smokehouse. With an award-winning BBQ menu, if you’re a carnivore, you’ll have no problem finding a hearty meal.

Priding itself on giving diners the meat sweats, try a rib platter or a smoked platter with two meat choices and a plentiful side, including beans or CLE Potato Salad.

Betty’s Bomb Ass Burgers

The Betty’s food truck line is short and sweet: it serves “burgers that are the bomb.” Its gourmet selections are piled high with fun additions like onion rings and pickle spears, just like the stickers on the truck’s sides.

But, if there was one item folks keep going back for, it’s the homemade cheesy tots. Perfectly crisp and loaded with a creamy cheese sauce, it’s that combination of creamy and crunch that makes for the perfect side dish.

Signature Slush & Cream

Signature Slush & Cream keeps its menu simple and to the point: 27 flavors of slushies (yes, it offers boozy frozen drinks, too) and ice cream. While you may not feel like downing a giant frozen drink during Cleveland’s harsh winters, finding a refreshing food truck is a must during the summer. Each slushie recipe is made from scratch, so you won’t find pre-mixed ingredients. As for the ice cream bowls, grab one with a donut and it’s hello, delicious!

Burgers, sandwiches, and a handful of sides. While that may not sound like much, Stateside Provisions takes its menu to the max by concentrating on a few amazing meals. Its ⅓ pound cooked-to-order hamburgers come with a side of fries, chips, or potato salad. AQs for its pulled pork or chicken sandwiches, cool cole slaw is the side du jour. It’s like a family reunion menu ramped up!
