Castle at Magic Kingdom

The Top 10 Magic Kingdom Snacks That Are Worth Every Penny

The Magic Kingdom is well known for its rides, shows, atmosphere, and characters. But, one thing that always deserves more recognition in the most magical place on Earth is food. Walt Disney World has never been one to ignore tapping into the senses of its guests. So of course they really try to impress when it comes to taste! And boy does it show with the snacks at the Magic Kingdom.

1. Dole Whip

The pineapple Dole Whip from Aloha Isle is one of the most iconic snacks in Disney World, especially as a float! This sweet soft serve, combined with the refreshingly tangy pineapple juice, is the perfect combination to help keep you cool in the hot Florida weather.

If pineapple isn’t really your thing, worry not, there are different flavors. Some flavors, like the coconut can be found at Aloha Isle with the original. However, there are several different specialty floats and flavors that can also be found throughout all of Walt Disney World!

2. Cheeseburger Spring Roll

Just before the main entrance to Adventureland, you will find a rather unassuming-looking food cart that almost always has an impressive line. This is the home to the beloved cheeseburger spring rolls. The chart has two kinds of spring rolls: the more known cheeseburger-filled one and a pepperoni pizza one with a side of marinara sauce. If you’re hungry to try them both, there is a combo on the menu that allows you to have one of each instead of two of the same.

3. Giant Mickey Chocolate Chip Cookie

Somehow, Disney has improved on the perfection of a chocolate chip cookie. Not only have they made it in the shape of Mickey Mouse, but it’s also bigger and partially dipped in chocolate. I can speak from experience that these beauties can be shared among three grown adults perfectly well (protip: go for the ears first!) In the Magic Kingdom, these cookies can be found in Main Street Confectionery and Big Top Souvenirs.

4. Giant Cinnamon Roll

Nestled in the “Beauty and the Beast” section of Fantasyland is Gaston’s Tavern. Inside is a little quick-service restaurant filled with Gaston’s favorite means of decorating and many a tasty snack. One of the tavern’s best items is a giant, warm cinnamon roll covered in frosting. This thing is so big that it makes for easy sharing!

5. Corn Dog Nuggets

Sometimes the best snacks are the simplest. Take the often-eaten corn dog nuggets from Casey’s Corner. This quick-service restaurant at the end of Main Street U.S.A. has all the fixings for a classic baseball game, but these mini corn dogs are the all-star players!

6. Turkey Leg

Starting in 1989, it has become commonplace to walk around Magic Kingdom and spot folks chomping down on an almost head-sized turkey leg. The two places you’ll find this gargantuan snack are Liberty Square Market and Prince Eric Village Market.

7. Sleepy Hallow Waffles

Though in my opinion, they should have kept the original waffle sandwiches, the Sleepy Hallow Waffles are as legendary as the Headless Horseman that haunts its namesake. At this kiosk, there are a few ways you can have your favorite breakfast food topped. These include fruit with chocolate-hazelnut spread or cream, and a sweet and spicy maple and chicken!

8. Cheshire Cat Tail

There’s not a more fitting place to find this sweet pastry that’ll have you grinning from ear to ear than the Chesire Cafe. The tail is a long pastry filled with custard and chocolate chips and drizzled with colored frosting. If you’re someone who wakes up with a sweet tooth, there’s nothing better to start your morning in the park with!

9. DIY Popcorn

Many guests, myself included, have found something magical about Disney World popcorn that makes it taste so much better. And before you ask, no it isn’t just the fancy buckets you can collect. But I suppose it’s only natural for the most magical place on earth to have magically perfect popcorn.

If just plain butter isn’t your cup of tea there’s always the Kernel Kitchen connected to the Main Street Confectionary. Here, guests are able to design their own popcorn mix. Pick from four different flavors of popcorn to mix and match and add candies and chocolate drizzle to really make it your own!

10. Peanut Butter Cookie Pie

Peanut Butter, chocolate frosting, and peanut butter M&M’s. Combined, these elements make the ultimate treat for peanut butter and chocolate treats! This little beauty can be grabbed at the Main Street Confectionary. It’s also pretty rich, so having a drink with it is probably a good idea.
