Top Snacks at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Disney’s Animal Kingdom is a beautiful park with so much to explore. Whether it’s different continents or an alien planet, there’s plenty to see, do, and taste! On your next trip to this wild park at Walt Disney World, consider these snacks to help satisfy your beastly appetite.

1. Pongo Lumpia

When the Valley of Mo’ara opened to visitors in 2017, the pongo lumpia was one of my favorite additions to the park. Now, almost a decade later, it holds up quite well! Found at Pongu Pongu, the lumpia is a spring roll filled with cream cheese and pineapple. It’s nice and warm on the inside and crispy on the outside.

2. Corn on the Cob

This isn’t your normal boiled/grilled corn on the cob with butter melted on it, no sir! Corn is grilled and topped with African spices for an extra kick. One end is even wrapped in aluminum foil so you can carry it around the park with you! You’ll find this tasty snack at the Harambe Fruit Market in the Africa section of the park.

3. Baked Macaroni and Cheese with Pulled Pork

There’s always been something special about mac and cheese topped with some sort of protein. Sure, mac and cheese on its own is good, but then you top it with something like shrimp, chicken, or in this case pulled pork and it becomes a whole meal! This baked macaroni and cheese is topped with pulled pork green onions and two pickles and can be found at the Eight Spoon Café in Discovery Island.

4. Chicken Fried Rice

When I say I’ve eaten this on its own for a meal more than once, I am being 100% serious. But it’s technically on the Disney Meal Program as a snack credit, so it counts! Yak & Yeti Local Food Cafes’ chicken fried rice has all the normal fixings of the standard fried rice, but there’s gotta be pixie dust added in there somewhere because this stuff is good. Not to mention it is the perfect amount of food for a quick lunch or dinner.

5. Seasoned Fries

Mr. Kamal’s quick service kiosk may be small, but as they say “good things come in small packages.” For Mr. Kamal’s it’s their crowd favorite seasoned french fries. Spices give a nice, not too intense, kick and it is served with a sriracha mayo dipping sauce. Just don’t be surprised if there is a bit of a line for these pieces of fried goodness.
